Dear Voornaam, We are thrilled to announce this year's Honeyman Dinner Keynote Speaker: DNC Vice Chair and Chair of the Washington State Democrats, Shasti Conrad! Shasti is first woman of color and youngest person to serve in her role as Washington State Party Chair. As a DNC Vice Chair, she is helping build a stronger Democratic Party. Adopted from Calcutta by a single mom and raised in rural Oregon, Shasti is also the first South Asian woman to lead a state party organization anywhere in the country and the first AAPI Chair in the contiguous 48 states. In her first term as State Party Chair, Shasti oversaw crucial statewide, Congressional, and legislative victories. Shasti has served as a staffer and consultant on four presidential campaigns and worked in the Obama White House's Office of Public Engagement and for President Obama's Senior Advisor.
