Washington District Court: Definition of “professional review body” must be met to offer HCQIA immunity

The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington at Seattle (the “Court”) granted in part and denied in part a defendant’s motion for summary judgment, finding that immunity under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act (HCQIA) cannot be applied when the information is shared with someone other than a professional review body.
