Arvid Streimann,CFA
Head of Macro and Portfolio Manager

Arvid Streimann joined Magellan in 2014 as a Senior Analyst in the Financials Team. 

In 2017, Arvid was appointed Head of Macro research and chairs the Macro Committee. In 2018, he was made a Portfolio Manager. Prior to Magellan, Arvid spent 10 years in the research departments of Morgan Stanley and UBS, covering financial institutions and economics. Previously, Arvid assisted insurers with their growth strategies at Aon and spent four years in the Reserve Bank of Australia’s economics and financial markets groups. 

Charles Jamieson
Executive Director, Chief Investment Officer
Jamieson Coote Bonds

Charles is a co-founder of Jamieson Coote Bonds (JCB) and oversees portfolio management of the Australian and Global High Grade Bond investment strategies. 

Prior to JCB, Charles forged a career as a seasoned bond investor from 2001 in New York, Tokyo, London and Sydney, with Merrill Lynch/Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Over his career, Charles has managed large Government Bond portfolios in key major currencies and derivative instruments. During this time, he has managed through the spectrum of financial market dynamics, including September 11, 2001, the Global Financial Crisis, Eurozone crises, the US credit rating downgrade and Chinese/Greek concerns. 

Conrad Burge
Head of Investments
Fiducian

Conrad has been the Head of Investments for Fiducian’s Funds Management segment since 1999. He manages the asset allocation and manager selection process for equities (domestic and international), listed property trusts, fixed interest (domestic and international) and other (including annuities, insurance bonds etc.). Conrad is a regular contributor of economic research and publications to clients, advisers and external media. He is a member of the Investment Committee. 

Prior to Fiducian, Conrad was the portfolio manager of an East Asian Fund for six years and worked as a Senior Research Officer in the Fiscal Policy Division of the Australian Commonwealth Treasury prior to that. 

Stephen van Eyk
Analyst, Speaker and Industry Commentator

 
Stephen van Eyk has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry as an analyst, industry commentator and managing director at his former company, van Eyk Research. Stephen left the industry in 2009, but returned three years later to consult to institutions and financial planning groups on new products and portfolio construction for the new era. He speaks at industry conferences, is a director of listed companies and helps research-based companies structure their offerings to the industry.
