Daniel Pipes and Joshua Krasna discuss: Public Affairs, The Israel-Hamas War and its Impacts Date: February 5 Time: 6:00pm reception, 6:30pm program begins Where: Center City Philadelphia The attack inflicted on Israel by Hamas terrorists and the Israeli military retaliation has shaken the Middle East and created new tensions on international alliances and politics. It has also created new conflicts within American society. As a result, there has been a pause in the negotiated normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia. This second major international military action continues to distract from the war in Ukraine, while China uses both conflicts to promote its anti-Western propaganda, and Iran’s support for regional and international terrorism grows. As the Israeli Defense Force roots out Hamas in Gaza, there are humanitarian concerns for Palestinian women and children with ramifications for future peace negotiations. This program will present a panel of speakers, including Dr. Daniel Pipes (Ph.D., Harvard), President of the Middle East Forum, historian, and author, as well as Dr. Joshua Krasna, Templeton Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and former Israeli diplomat to discuss the roots of the War through a national security lens.
