Breaking News!
It is with much anticipated excitement that I can report to you, we have reached our goal of 150 thousand dollars to purchase the property needed for a shelter. On April 3, 2024 we were able to close and take possession of it. A huge thanks to you. Your prayers and contributions were vital in making this happen.
What’s Next?
We are now asking for your continued prayer and financial support as we enter the final stages of making a shelter a reality. The new building plans are underway but incomplete at this time. As soon as we have more definitive information on the building, I will update you.
From the very beginning, this has been a God-size challenge. I don’t mind confessing that this continues to test my faith unlike anything I have ever been involved in. A Pastor friend reminded me this past Sunday, we start by faith and we finish by faith. May that quote encourage you as well.
Beat the Heat!
Spring storms have given us some unexpected weather challenges but rest assured, ninety-degree heat is just around the corner. Now through mid-September, we will turn our focus toward getting cold water relief to the unsheltered population in our community.
Yard Sale!
Murfreesboro Rescue Mission is now taking items in good working condition for our June Yard sale. We need: Tools, bikes, some small appliances and other miscellaneous items in good condition and easy to haul away.
Prayer Request: - We will be able to bring effective relief to those on the streets this summer.
- A successful capital campaign with many joining in to help.
- Wisdom as we enter the fundraising/building process.
- A successful June yard sale.
