How you can help hungry Queenslanders this holiday season |
|
"Getting help to feed myself has made me realise there are good people out there. Some of the nicest ones are strangers who support the work of Foodbank. It feels so good to be able to eat. Thank you!" - Melissa, single mum in Queensland For many it only takes an emergency bill for necessities such as health care, or home repayments to result in going hungry. The ongoing impacts of COVID-19, rising costs of living including mortgage and rental stress, are all making it harder for many Queenslanders living week to week.
That's why ABC Radio Brisbane is supporting Foodbank Queensland for our ABC Gives donation appeal. At Foodbank, every $1 donated creates two meals, so however much you are able to donate, your money will go far. |
