| Free resource: Sample dispute resolution policy | | When a professional dispute arises, the last thing you want to discover is an ill-defined (or nonexistent) path toward resolution. Having a clear policy in place that identifies who will lead dispute resolution and what specific steps must be taken removes a lot of uncertainty from the equation. It also leads to a faster and, hopefully, more satisfying resolution. The policy and related process should be vetted through the medical staff and administrative leadership. It should also be widely communicated, easily accessible, and reviewed annually. |

| Radial artery harvesting - Procedure 87 | | Radial artery harvesting (RAH) is the process of removing the radial artery, located in the arm, for use as an arterial graft during coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). During CABG, a healthy artery or vein is used as a graft to route the blood supply around the blocked coronary artery, restoring normal blood flow to the heart. This healthy vessel must be harvested from another part of the body, such as the patient’s chest, leg, or arm. |
