In celebration of International Women's Day, and as developments in health IT progress at high speed, we want to acknowledge the leaps and bounds made by women in this industry - and how far gender equality in the digital health space still has to go.

The European Kate Granger Awards for Compassionate Care - In Honour of The Year of the Nurse and the Midwife

In recognition of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the mother of modern nursing and a social reform pioneer, the World Health Assembly has designated 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.

HIMSS and the Kate Granger Advisory Board have decided this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the compassion and dedication shown by members of these vital professions. This year, all categories of the European Kate Granger Awards for Compassionate Care will be focused on Nursing and Midwifery care.

In honour of these powerful women and their legacies, please consider nominating individuals or teams - including yourself! - who exemplify the qualities of compassionate, high-touch / high-tech care. Submissions close March 15.
