March is National Nutrition Month and it was created to bring awareness and education surrounding the importance of making healthy food choices, developing better eating habits and regular physical activity.
Here are a few ways to develop healthy eating habits, no matter your age!
*Plan meals in advance – planning is the key!
*Eat a big breakfast and a lighter dinner – this gives you energy throughout the day!
*Meals should have color – fruits vegetables and lean protein!
*Prepare healthy snacks – nuts, fruits and fresh vegetables are good choices!
*Sneak in those veggies!
*Drink plenty of water!
*Be active – the weather is changing – get outside and move for at least 30 minutes a day!
