Liz French Looking Ahead, Looking Back
Liz French, Senior Editor

It’s the season of renewal, with many fresh beginnings, such as SELF-e star L. Penelope launching a new series with a major publisher, a fresh crop of romances and romantic suspense titles from a bouquet of pros and newcomers, and a comprehensive look at the mystery titles on the horizon. This spring we also bid farewell to the Books for Dudes column—Doug’s finale is a doozy!—and the online memoir column. Fear not, though, LJ is committed to more memoir coverage in the magazine. Other springtime treats: LJ Prepub Alert Editor Barbara Hoffert reports on the Anisfield-Wolf Awards and reads Madeline Miller’s Circe while Reader's Shelf correspondent Andrea Tarr goes bird (book) watching.
