Starting with the basics, we have your canned cherries or cherry pie filling for a delicious taste of early summer sweetness anytime you want.
BTW making cherry pie filling from just canned cherries works spectacular too. I use Tapioca as the thickener. Directions are on the box! Super easy and then your jars are more versatile.
Two more options for preserving cherries are to freeze them or you could make a batch of cherry jam.
The Pits... the one downside to preserving cherries... you've got to get rid of the pits. I have searched high and low for one that actually works and I finally found it.
