Your young scientists will explore the properties that make soap capable of creating bubbles using a “secret ingredient” that makes bigger and stronger bubbles.
Also, they’ll discover why bubbles are always round and learn more about the concept of surface tension.
And, best of all, they’ll gain hands-on experience in mixing and testing their bubble solutions — a wonderful way to engage with basic chemistry concepts, such as the properties of liquids and gasses!
Bonus: Once you finish the main piece of the project, encourage your child to experiment with food coloring to make different colored bubbles. Use a clear dish soap for the best results
Don’t forget to capture photos of those giant bubbles or even bubble art and share them with us on Instagram @homesciencetools – we'd love to feature your child’s scientific artistry! |
