Good evening. Abby Marie Zoellmer, 37, of Mankato, had five mugs of beer and then got in her car and started driving last January. She struck and killed William Maher, 88, who had gone into the roadway to avoid the ice of the sidewalk. After apologizing and promising to get her life back on track, Zoellmer received a series of stayed sentences, which satisfied Barb Maher, William's widow. She didn’t want the woman to go to prison. St. Paul unveils $15 minimum wage ordinance, without a 'tip credit'
St. Paul leaders announced a $15 minimum wage proposal on Tuesday, marking a milestone in the lengthy debate over whether and how the city should raise its wage floor. The City Council will give the ordinance its first reading Oct. 17. Under the plan, businesses will begin phasing in the wage hike in 2020.
Lawyers argue over unsealing Ellison divorce records

Minn. roads receive low marks, infrastructure grade slightly better

The state's contingent of the American Society of Civil Engineers released a first-ever report card grading Minnesota's infrastructure, ranging from bridges and dams to drinking water. The state gets a middling "C" overall, which is above the D+ national average.

Wet weather worries Minnesota farmers

The rainy weather has slowed the pace of the Minnesota harvest. The soybean harvest has been hardest hit, falling behind schedule. The wet weather could also damage crops still in the field.
