How Shane and Kasi are making a difference for life... No images? Click here Dear friend, Over the past few weeks, I’ve gotten to read dozens of incredible stories of men and women across the country who are standing for life. These stories were submitted by friends, relatives, and family members, and I’m glad to be able to share a few of them with you as a reminder of the difference you make. Today, I’m privileged to share the story of Shane and Kasi: Kasi and her husband, Shane, are champions for life! Not only have they adopted themselves, but Kasi is the adoption and foster care coordinator for our local church. Her work at the church provides our town and all the surrounding counties with information, coaching, and wisdom about adoption and foster care. She loves like Jesus loves and sees like Jesus sees. The least of these she holds dear to her heart! One specific thing that stands out about Kasi to me is her realistic love for life. Adoption and foster care doesn’t look like a beautiful glitter package all the time, and Kasi works tirelessly to stop this lie of perfection. She speaks truth about the messiness of our broken world and works to give God the glory for everything. Shane and Kasi are just one example of the incredible champions for life across the country who are doing the hard work of adoption and foster care every day in their own communities. The ERLC works to stand with people like Shane and Kasi who volunteer to foster children in need or go through the long, expensive process of adoption to give children a loving family. This year, our DC team worked with partners to ensure that faith-based organizations can continue serving vulnerable children and families. Adoption and foster care are challenging on the best days, and I’m thankful for every family who opens their hearts and home to children in need. As we reach the end of 2019, will you stand with us financially so that we can continue to advocate for pro-life and pro-family laws in the public square? Along with the generous contributions of our supporting Southern Baptist churches, your gift will allow us to expand our work even further. Thank you for partnering with us for life! Sincerely, Daniel Darling of the Southern Baptist Convention 901 Commerce Street, Suite 550 Nashville, Tennessee 37203 Like Tweet Forward Unsubscribe |
