36 Hours and Just $7,858 to Go! Help Your Food Community Start Strong in the New Year
Greetings!

As we wind down another roller coaster of a year, what gives you hope in 2022?

I am given hope by you, and how you have shown up for your farmers and neighbors through these challenging times, nourishing your community and exemplifying what a regenerative and equitable food system can be.

We have much to work to do to recover from the pandemic, to combat climate change, and to undo systemic racism and inequity in our communities. As we work toward a stronger recovery in 2022, we are relaunching our public education programs and doubling down our commitment to food access and equity. We need your support for this vision to come to life.

With your support in 2021, we expanded our Market Match program so that shoppers on a tight budget can increase their purchasing power at the farmers market. We’ve provided market opportunities for next-generation, BIPOC, and women farmers and food makers who face barriers, so their businesses can grow and thrive. Through our Foodwise Kids and Food Teens programs, we’ve provided free cooking classes and jobs at the farmers market for more than 2,200 SFUSD students, nurturing vital skills for life.

We can’t do this important work without you! You and I know that it is critical that everyone is able to participate in creating the just and climate-wise food future we need. Will you commit to family farms, food access, and education in 2022 with a donation today?

Help us start the New Year strong, so we can continue to be here for you, your community, and our farmers. You give me–and the whole CUESA team–hope that there are better days ahead.
In gratitude,
Christine Farren
Executive Director
