| The Best New Whiskeys to Drink This JuneEvery month our senior editor Kirk Miller sifts through dozens of new bottles to pick out his 10 favorite new whiskeys/whiskies. Tough job, right? For June, we're taking a global spotlight, focusing on new expressions from Starward (Australia, Rare Hare), Kavalan (Taiwan) and a 55-year-old Scotch (from, natch, Scotland). And there's plenty of representation from closer to home, but even those whiskeys uncover new taste profiles. Little Book (Kentucky) embraces rye, Stranahan's (Colorado) finds a sweet spot with ex-rum barrel maturation and the always innovative Barrell Craft Spirits blends bourbons from Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee...and then further matures them in a rare Japanese oak. Overall, you'll have a lot to choose from this month. | |

| How a World Champion Fencer Is Preparing for the Paris GamesMiles Chamley-Watson was forced to take up fencing as a punishment after getting into trouble in grade school. But what started as a penalty became a passion. Soon the 6’5” British-American athlete realized that his size, speed and natural quickness made him dangerous with a foil. In 2013, he became the first and only U.S. fencer to win an individual gold medal at the World Championships. He’s since won a dozen Pan American championships, and was part of the American team that took home bronze at the 2016 Olympics. We sat down with the Olympian at the Red Bull North American headquarters in Santa Monica, California (Red Bull was one of his first athletic sponsors) to hear about his drive, his workouts, the physical toil of fencing and his preparation for Paris. | |

| The Perfect 7-Day Copenhagen ItineraryThere is a freshness that washes over you soon after you arrive in Copenhagen. Locals leap into the crisp waters of its harbor and canals year-round, cyclists of all ages zip along protected bike highways, and chefs serve mouthwatering meals from local ingredients. This engaging culture plays out against the background of a city that consistently sets new standards in architecture, sustainability and social progress. Radiating out from its city center are vibrant neighborhoods and green spaces connected by an award-winning public transit system. After spending a week here, you will understand why its residents brim with hygge, a Danish term loosely meaning contentment and well-being. | |
