| | | | Hi there,
This is my ninth MozFest!! I love thinking back to my first festival when MozFest was 2 days long and hosted 1,000 people. Now, MozFest has adapted and grown in unexpected and exciting ways. This year we’ll be meeting virtually and aim to host 10,000 participants from over 145 countries. Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect: Pre-Festival Season: Fringe Events Exciting events are happening this month, intentionally designed for our MozFest community to connect and collaborate early. Access to Fringe Events are included in your MozFest ticket. These are a springboard to expand new partnerships and deepen engagement so that when the Zoom room closes, the collaborations continue. Festival Week: 7-11 March, 2022 MozFest virtual is designed for you to participate in your own time, when it suits your day. The schedule is live over 12 hours per day, designed to cater to as many time zones so you can attend in your own time and schedule. Post-Festival Season: On-Demand At The Plaza For those who secure tickets to MozFest, the Plaza will stay open until June 25th with continued opportunities to participate. Attend ongoing Fringe Events, re-watch lightning talks, return to great mixed media art, or catch up on missed sessions through recordings or Facilitator meetups. This festival is very different from my first one, but at the core, we are still very much about “Arrive with an idea, leave with a community.”
Hope to see you there!

Get To Know Our Sponsors What if you could fund the people building the web right through your browser? In partnership with the Interledger Foundation and Coil, we are excited to host a MozFest-wide experiment in browser-based peer payments.
With this partnership, we hope to grow a community dedicated to building a transformative Web Monetization ecosystem that doesn’t rely on ads, Big Tech, or proprietary payment providers. Using open protocols and community participation, this experiment builds toward an inclusive payment network.
As a ticket holder, you’ll receive a free six-month Coil Membership and $10 in free tipping credits. You can use your membership to show your appreciation for the MozFest community by streaming micropayments and sending one-off tips courtesy of Coil through your browser to a web charity or directly to people advancing internet health.
Stay tuned - more details on how you can participate to come. | |
