Museum school Virtual Art Appreciation: Tamara de Lempicka with Luc Travers Sunday, December 6, 2:30-4 PM CAM Members: $10; Non-Members: $15
The Polish painter, Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980), portrayed women as elegant while strikingly independent. Living through the social upheavals and prejudices of the early 20th century, she persisted to become an international success in France and eventually the United States. In this class we'll look at how her art, and especially her portraits, reflect the daring and unconventional life she led.
