Today's Featured PostStarting Tomatoes in Coffee Cans
By Nicole B.
When starting tomato plants, I cut the bottom off of an empty Folger's coffee can. Then I poke some drain holes in the lid, put the lid on, and turn the can upside down. I fill the new pot with soil and plant my tomatoes. When they are ready to go into the garden I just take the lid off the bottom and the plant slides right out.

This is a great way to use up over-ripe bananas. I found this recipe online and tweaked it just a little bit to work with my old blender.

Spiders may be creepy, but here is one that will not do any harm. This spider craft is made with simple supplies - cupcake liners, goggly eyes, a Sharpie marker, dot paint, and glue. My daughter loves this craft so much (and any with spiders lately).

Ketchup to Remove Green Tones From Hair
By attosa
You can indeed remove green tones from your hair by squirting ketchup onto your clean and dry strands. Leave it in for about 20 minutes then wash out. The tomatoes and vinegar in ketchup contain acids that even out the green colour in hair. If your hair is ultra green, do this process twice. It works!

Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.
