Dear friend and supporter, As Israel finds itself pulled into this war, the societal fabric is stretched to its limits. At this moment, according to the Welfare Ministry’s estimate, the government funds 40% of the services provided to the evacuees, relying heavily on the assistance of non-government organizations and private companies. This is where Feed Israel steps in, assuming a crucial role in this challenging time. In the heart of the crisis, our volunteers are tirelessly preparing and delivering warm meals daily for the evacuated families. Currently, we are cooking and distributing 22,000 meals per day. However, the demand is overwhelming. With numerous requests coming in, we aim to double the number of daily meals prepared. The essence of what we do, and the growing need for it, is captured vividly by one of our volunteers, Nir Golan from Petah Tikva. Nir, an elite IDF soldier now unable to serve on the battlefield due to an injury, shares his experience volunteering with Feed Israel: “There’s an amazing network of good people here cooking thousands of meals daily for the evacuees. Among them are orphaned children whose parents were killed, many who lost their loved ones, Holocaust survivors, elderly individuals, and struggling families in need of aid. Your support can help us help them. Please, help us assist them; your donation can make a difference.” Your continual support is vital to address the escalating needs. Every contribution significantly amplifies our reach and the assistance we provide in these testing times. |
