Louisiana Supreme Court endorses sexual abuse "lookback" window

The Louisiana Supreme Court reversed itself Wednesday by endorsing a 3-year window for childhood sexual abuse survivors to file legal claims regardless of when the alleged abuse happened. The court previously tossed the legislation as unconstitutional.

The ruling is a big deal for Roman Catholic dioceses across the state and hundreds of survivors of childhood abuse by priests and deacons. Stephanie Riegel has the full story. 


Louisiana's environmental agency, hit by top-level resignations and fierce criticism of its new leader, will now undergo an independent audit of its "workplace culture," including asking employees if they are concerned about unethical behavior or have experienced workplace retaliation.
