Hey, Let’s just be real… 99.99% of the productivity advice out there doesn’t work and only makes your life harder and more stressful than it already is. And the main reason for this is… Most productivity and business advice is about DOING MORE. Going to the gym… Meditating… Using fancy apps… Launching a podcast... Blogging every day... Creating crazy Trello boards… Drinking green tea harvested by monks while you wobble on a balance board wearing blue light glasses and EMF blocking undies… But you’ve probably realized that the more of these things you do the less you seem to accomplish. That’s because the real “secret” to becoming the most productive person you know is to DO LESS. A LOT less. Productivity isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing more of the things that matter. As Bruce Lee put it… “It’s not the daily increase, but the daily decrease. Hack away at the inessential.” When you eliminate the obstacles, distractions, and busy work you don’t need to be doing. You’ll automatically start focusing on the BIG money making activities that actually matter. To use myself as an example… - I don’t write or send my own emails (yep--even this one--I just tell my team what to write and I review them before they go live) - I don’t upload content to Instagram, YouTube, my blog, or Facebook - I don’t take client calls before 10am - I don’t cook my own food, clean my apartment, or drive anywhere Instead, I automate, delegate, and eliminate all of these things so that I have time to focus on the big picture and do the things that actually matter. Listen… Your life and business aren’t going to fall apart if you hire someone else to write your copy or upload your content or organize your calendar. … And it probably won't impact your bottom line if you decide to stop doing low-income activities (like podcasts, blogging, and Pinterest posts) altogether. But if you can add an extra 5-10 hours a week back into your schedule? And use that time to focus on the #1 most important profit driver in your business? You can make HUGE leaps almost overnight. So here’s a little action step to help you implement this concept today… Pull out a sheet of paper. Create four columns. And answer these questions. 1) What do you HATE doing? 2) What is not YOUR job? 3) What should you STOP doing? 4) What are your distractions? For example… I hate wasting 2-hours of my day doing podcast interviews on tiny shows… and these interviews don’t do anything for my business (question #3). So I have a personal rule that I won’t agree to an interview unless they’re generating more than 10k downloads a month. As much as I love writing emails... It’s not my job and my team can do it better and faster than I can. And my #1 distraction is scrolling through my Instagram feed and getting lost in a sea of content... So when I’m working, my phone is turned off and in another room. Take 15-minutes today to answer these questions for yourself and then go take action on what you discover. If you’ve never done this before, you’ll likely double your productivity in the next few days. To Your Success, Craig B. P.S.
