Dating to the early 1900s and located just a block off the beach, the wee abode makes clever use of its 870 square feet. Ceilings were raised, adding a sense of volume, and beyond the smartly configured kitchen, multilevel decks include a built-in barbecue and a hot tub. The nearly $2 million price for Rousey's apartment-sized house in L.A. isn’t such a shocking anomaly when, according to new reports, the number of homes across the country that are valued at more than a million dollars has hit a record high and the ultra-luxury market continues to pick up speed with half a dozen home sales going down so far this year at more than $100 million.
