BoldBrush Recommends: Stephanie BrownGet Notified When Stephanie Posts Art BiographyStephanie grew up in California, but relocated to Pennsylvania in 2021. Originally a watercolor painter who focused on florals and still lifes, she has recently found a more natural home for herself in soft pastel. She loves its versatility and immediacy and enjoys exploring its many possibilities as a medium. While she is still passionate about still life and floral subjects, her move to Philadelphia ignited a love for the landscape, with her favorite muse being Wissahickon Valley Park. As a frequent hiker and a Trail Ambassador with the Friends of the Wissahickon, she spends countless hours wandering the park's quiet paths, enchanted by the intimate scenes revealed by the light filtering through the trees. Her desire as an artist is to convey that same sense of awe and wonder to her viewers. Stephanie is a member of the Philadelphia Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of New Jersey, the Maryland Pastel Society, and the Pastel Society of the West Coast. She is an Associate member of the American Impressionist Society, the Pastel Society of America, and American Women Artists.
