What tablet is right for you?

Q. Would the KomandoTab2 be good for someone my age? I'm 53.

A. That's a great question! Age probably isn't the best indicator as to whether or not the KomandoTab2, or any tablet for that matter, is right for you. You'll be happier with your final choice if you factor in things like your experience level and desired use. If you're just looking for a tablet to use for reading, light Web browsing and checking social media accounts, you'd probably be happier with a tablet that's more basic. Something like the Kindle Fire would have all of the features you need. On the other hand, if
you're comfortable navigating a computer and would like to have similar performance from your tablet, the KomandoTab2 is a great fit. It comes fully loaded with Windows 10, so it essentially functions like a mini-laptop. It even comes with its own keyboard.  Click here for more information.

An electronic babysitter

Q. My kids are now teenagers. They're too old for a babysitter, but I work full-time, and wish I could keep better tabs on them. What are my options?

A. It's true - those teenage years are the toughest! When your kids reach that age where they're more independent it's difficult to keep track of their comings and goings. It might surprise you to hear that a home security system could be just what you need. Not only will it protect your home and family, you can also adjust the settings on the sensors so you'll get a text alert when people come and go or open a door they shouldn't. These alerts don't necessarily have to trigger the alarm. But wouldn't it be nice to know if someone, say, snuck into the liquor cabinet while you were gone? Our sponsor, SimpliSafe has some great, affordable options. Get it today and save 10% with promo code KIM.

Best sound system on a budget

Q. I live in an apartment and don't have a lot of money. It's not worth buying a huge sound system, but I hate using my tablet's speakers when streaming videos and music. Help!

A. That's a tough spot to be in, especially since sound systems can be pretty pricey. A Bluetooth speaker is a great way to get high-quality sound without spending a lot of money. Consider an inexpensive unit like the Komando Connect Bluetooth Speaker to
sync with your tablet or smartphone, and get high-quality sound that fills the room. You can even pair two of these speakers together for a surround-sound effect. And the best part is that you'll still get a lot of use from them even after you get the new sound system. Use them to stream music or podcasts by the pool, in the office, or even the garage. They're compact and portable, so they'll go wherever you go. Click here to learn more.

For five decades, Mattel's Barbie doll has been at the top of many kids' Christmas wish lists. It's also been a regular focus of controversy, often dealing with Barbie's unrealistic body dimensions. However, the controversy about the latest Barbie goes beyond her exterior to the technology inside.

Watch out for malware in Bible apps, of all places

Reading the Bible is peaceful. It may be a moment in your day that you treasure. Which is why cybercriminals find Bible apps so appealing. They are infecting Bible apps with malware, to steal your personal information, or take over your device. Click here to spot the warning signs.

On New Year's Eve, Marilyn stood up in the local pub and said that it was time to get ready. At the stroke of midnight, she wanted every husband to be standing next to the one person who made his life worth living. Well, it was kind of embarrassing. As the clock struck, the bartender was almost crushed to death.
