Get crafty at DC’s only museum of contemporary craft and decorative arts. Learn three embroidery stitches before creating your own embroidery masterpiece using pre-drafted patterns. Admission includes light snacks, crafting materials, two drinks from ANXO, and after-hours access to the Smithsonian American Art Musem's Renwick Gallery.
 
Space is limited. Attendees must be 21 or older to attend and show a valid ID at the door.

Want to Practice Before You Go?

Don't be on pins and needles! Try your hand at embroidery any time. In this video, learn three primary stitches—backstitch, satin stitch, and French knot; how to finish your project; as well as general tips for success. Watch and learn at your own pace and show off what you know at the next Handi-hour.
