DAILY UPDATE
October 24, 2020
Dear Valued Reader,

Miss anything in the world of Gumshoe this week?  Let me catch you up...
Since we've got a bunch of new readers on board this year, I thought I should probably update my "what the heck is Stock Gumshoe, anyway" explanation and give those folks a little background... so if you're new to the fun here, you can see that below...

Michael S., from Madison, Wisconsin, has made over EIGHT TIMES more than he would get with dividend paying stocks that pay 2% … Steve V. has collected  about 18 TIMES more than government bonds pay (a paltry .72%) … and Tom R. reported he had made 26 TIMES more than he could through a five-year CD yielding .5%.

And now on to the investment stories and ideas you might have missed...

We started the week with a renewed look at a "forever memory" teaser pitch from Alex Kofyman that's making the rounds anew, you can check that out here.

Then The Wealth Advisory popped in with a pitch about "Pot Paydays" that can generate $57,000 a year -- so what's the reality behind that spiel?  Click here for the Thinkolator answers.

From there, we moved on to sniffing out Cabot's tease about "the perfect stock in these times of social distancing, working from home, telemedicine, and remote learning" -- curious?  I was, too, my take is here.

Doc Gumshoe also stopped by this week to provide an update -- his latest column is, no surprise, about the pandemic:  COVID 19: What are the Prospects for the Duration?

And as usual, I closed out the week with the Friday File, which this week includes some thoughts on Crown Castle, Alphabet, Fastly and a new marijuana REIT... just click below for that if you missed the email on Friday evening:
