Stocks inched higher after BlackRock raked in $100 billion in new investments and United Airlines reached a deal with pilots to limit coronavirus furloughs.

U.S. equity markets opened higher Friday amid a quiet trading session heading into a summer weekend. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 39 points, or 0.15 percent, in the opening minutes of trading while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.26 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively.
