Good afternoon,

Media mogul Kerry Stokes has joined forces with fellow billionaire James Packer to bankroll an American technology entrepreneur using artificial intelligence to build the world’s best database for organising and storing medical information.

Meet the young Sydneysider showing the world that building Star Wars-like robots is possible. Matt Buffa has raised $2m, with his technology attracting attention from US defence companies.

One of Australia’s largest private health insurers says its investments in artificial intelligence have saved it $22m and reduced the need to hire more staff in certain departments.
