Heavy snow is still on track Tuesday into Wednesday. An inbound snow system is expected to hit the Twin Cities around 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday night and will continue into Wednesday. Winter storm warnings are up for a big chunk of the state with the system expected to spread north into Duluth and northeast Minnesota. Get ready!

Xcel Energy adds crews to respond to storm outages. Xcel Energy anticipates the heavy snow and high winds may cause downed power lines and outages. The utility says it has added crews to be ready to respond, but did not have a precise number.

"We do suggest that families can consider building a home emergency kit if they need to in the event of a power outage, stock up with batteries and flashlights and maybe some phone chargers,” a spokesperson said.

Trump order creates task force on missing American Indians

The task force will be overseen by Attorney General William Barr and Interior Secretary David Bernhardt. It is tasked with developing protocols to apply to new and unsolved cases and creating a multi-jurisdictional team to review cold cases.
