Three exceptional Shakespeare plays are on stage: a breathtaking Winter’s Tale, helmed by Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino, whose success with Shakespeare is unparalleled at the Festival; a high concept Macbeth led by visionary director Robert Lepage; and an imaginative As You Like It with original music by award-winning singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith, directed by Chris Abraham, whose Much Ado About Nothing was the hit of 2023.
Programming also includes the musicals Annie and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a Bridgerton-like adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility and a sizzling production of Dangerous Liaisons. Canadian work includes a delightful new adaptation of Anne of Green Gables, a touching adaptation of the award-winning memoir Forgiveness, a powerful and funny take on the Trojan War mythology, Ransacking Troy, and a moving exploration of the embedded war artist, The Art of War.
Stratford is a gorgeous destination filled with theatre, music, art and beautifully curated shopping experiences. It is the culinary centre of Southwestern Ontario, with more exceptional dining options per square mile than just about any other town.
