The landed gentry have long set up their country homes in the U.K. to accommodate a variety of recreational options, and a refurbished 19th-century Victorian manor house in Kent, about 45 minutes southeast of London, has brought that idea to the 21st century. Along with the usual accoutrements of a classic English rural estate that include formal gardens and equestrian facilities, 18-acre Broomsleigh Park includes a leisure complex with a sports hall, a fitness center, and, beneath a retractable glass roof, an indoor swimming pool that runs parallel to a single-lane bowling alley. Meanwhile, a massive, five-story Baltimore townhouse long owned by actor Kevin Spacey and sold last year at a foreclosure auction to a local investor for $3.2 million has popped back up for sale at $6 million.
