Strong Winds and Heavy Rain | All Regions Road users who are wishing to use any part of the Highways England network across the country are being advised to check the weather forecast and road conditions before they travel this weekend (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February) as strong winds and heavy rain are forecast. Highways England is working closely with the Met Office in monitoring the weather conditions. Met Office weather warnings for wind and rain will be in effect from 10am Saturday 15thuntil 12 noon Sunday 16th February. These warnings are extended into Monday 17th February for the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North East Regions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling, allowing plenty of time to complete your journey and consider whether your journey is necessary before setting out. For information on weather conditions across the country you can also visit the Met Office website at www.metoffice.gov.uk.
