Study: Major teaching hospitals associated with lower mortality rates

Medicare patients at major teaching hospitals have better 30-day mortality rates for 15 common medical and 6 surgical conditions compared to patients at minor teaching hospitals and nonteaching hospitals, according to a recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
