Research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University suggests that America's embrace of syncretism—the fusion of different religions—and the growing rejection of a biblical worldview remains a threat to the general quality of life in a post-pandemic world, especially for children. Researchers used data from the American Worldview Inventory to observe how Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers and Elders had very different spiritual responses to the pandemic. The proportion of adults adhering to a biblical worldview decreased, with CRC Director George Barna suggesting that the closure of Christian churches exacerbated the situation by leaving Americans dependent on "government perspectives and policies." Dell Children's Medical Center (DCMC) of Austin, Texas, is under investigation for allegedly performing what prosecutors are calling "experimental" sex reassignment procedures on children. Attorney General Ken Paxton, who announced the investigation on May 5, called the allegations "deeply disturbing" and said the investigation was launched in response to several reports about "potentially illegal activity" at the hospital. An exercise created by the United States Department of Homeland Security presents a passionate pro-life advocate as someone prone to engage in an act of domestic terrorism as critics of the Biden administration point to the document as evidence of a targeted campaign against those who "oppose abortion on demand and voted for former President Trump." Details of the exercise came to light after the nonprofit America First Legal obtained documents via a Freedom of Information Act request. Read more. |

Mary Moton, a former employee at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wis., has pleaded guilty to the charge of theft from a business setting. Authorities estimate the 62-year-old woman embezzled more than $30,000 from the church. She was sentenced to four days in the House of Correction and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and more than $11,000 in restitution to the church.

Scores of family members and well-wishers have been grieving openly on social media over the passing of Shireta Rogers, the beloved wife of pastor and singer, Tim Rogers, at the age of 44. Tim Rogers publicly dismissed Hell as a "fairytale" in 2018, but said he believes in Heaven and the afterlife. No cause of death for Shireta Rogers has been provided. Read more. |
