Connecticut Attorney General William Tong has contacted M&T Bank with a list of complaints he received after a problematic integration of its systems with those of People's United Financial, which it acquired last year, stating: "Customers have been blocked from online accounts and phone apps, wait times in branches and on the phone have been unacceptably long, real estate closings may have been delayed and otherwise complicated, automatic payments have been disrupted, among other complaints." Several of the complaints claim that People's United personnel, who may have been better equipped to handle the conversion, were sidelined.
