It has been an incredible summer so far at Desert Wind and we are just getting started! We have had the most fun welcoming back our guests and proudly serving our newest wine releases at the Desert Wind Tasting Room.
We are now open daily for wine flights and tours! The Kitchen at Desert Wind, our on-site restaurant, is now open daily for lunch service. The Inn & Spa at Desert Wind, our overnight guests suites and day spa are just nestled upstairs above the tasting room, are now both accepting reservations! And all that is just the beginning!
Our upcoming special events are sure to satisfy, featuring cooking classes, vineyard tours, live music, and sunset dining. We are delighted to invite you to rediscover wine country with all Desert Wind has to offer. We have something for everyone! See you soon!

First Friday’s Sunset Dining & Live Music

Join us on the First Friday of the month for sunset dining & live music performances from local musicians. Kick back on our patio and soak up the view overlooking the Yakima River (weather-permitting, otherwise we will set-up indoors in the Kiva Banquet Room.)

Thursday Evenings at Desert Wind Winery hosted in our Barrel Room. Enjoy a guided six-course, farm-to-table inspired prix fixe menu, featuring Desert Wind wine pairings. Guests are warmly welcomed with an unique menu with an elevated twist. Get ready to sip and savor a memorable meal!

Get inspired with our Cooking Classes! Each class is unique and themed to showcase 'simply sophisticated' meals that you can recreate at home. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience! All our classes offer hands-on, step-by-step instruction and feature Desert Wind Wine pairings led by our Culinary Director, Stacy Blowers.

July 31 Class: Simply Sophisticated Farm-to-Table SOLD-OUT
This event will feature a field trip to the farmer's market and hands-on instruction for farm-fresh ratatouille and prosciutto-wrapped melon recipes. Venture to the Prosser Farmers’ Market to meet our local farmers and purchase fresh ingredients for our cooking class. Then travel back to the Winery for a hands-on instruction of the season’s bountiful harvest. After your step-by-step instruction you will enjoy a full lunch with wine pairings.
August 28 Class: Simply Sophisticated Snacking
Learn the secrets to creating a perfect charcuterie board! This hands-on class will show you, step-by-step, how to create a mouth-watering cheese and charcuterie platter that is sure to please any crowd. Enjoy a glass of wine and savor your own creations. Take your hardwood board home to recreate your masterpiece!
September 25 Class: Simply Sophisticated Pasta
Hands-on instruction crafting the perfect pasta from scratch. Explore the time-honored tradition of making Handmade Pasta! Join your fellow students as you journey through the beautiful process of creating your very own pasta from scratch. Enjoy a glass of wine and sit down lunch afterwards.
