Unfortunately, the CDC is recommending people stay home and spend the holiday with just those in their household to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We canceled our plans and we will hopefully have an uneventful long weekend at home. It's not what we had planned but it's the prudent thing to do, especially after the spike that was seen in Canada after their Thanksgiving (the second week of October). The warning is crystal clear and we just need to sit tight until they roll out the vaccines (they're supposedly going to start distributing it on December 13). 

Sadly, Americans aren't heeding the advice as the TSA recorded their second day since March 16th of more than a million people (passengers, crew and airport workers) passing through security checkpoints. Friday had 1,019,836 pass through and yesterday, (Saturday, November 21) had 984,369. That's a whopping 287,009 more people pass through then last Saturday. Keep in mind travel is still down 60% from 2019.
