I hope you had a great weekend so far and are going to enjoy the two NFL conference championship games today to determine the Super Bowl matchup. I know I will be since there’s not a lot to do in California with COVID-19 still raging out of control. The good news is that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. The bad news is that the tunnel might have gotten a little longer due to delays of vaccine supplies and the new, and possibly more dangerous and contagious, virus mutations.

If you receive my Daily Travel Tip newsletter, then you already know about what’s going on in Europe, which will most likely happen here. In Germany, everyone now needs to wear an N95 mask when in stores and on public transportation. Lufthansa is going to start requiring passengers to wear N95 masks starting February 1st. That’s why, on Friday morning, before the news agencies started airing their stories, I alerted readers that I think it would be smart to buy some N95 or KN95 masks before the panic shopping sets in again.
