Happy Sunday, everyone. Today I'm talking love.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and I'm a fan. I know it's not really a real holiday with a long and storied ancient tradition. I know it's a big boon to greeting card companies, jewelers, chocolatiers, restaurants with prix fixe menus, and I know a lot of people like to be cynical about it.

"Why should I only show my love on this one day?"

Well, you shouldn't. That's true. I get the sentiment, I really do.

But love as most people think of it comes in waves. Even when you "love someone," you're not feeling a constant swelling of emotion every day of your life. It comes and goes. It ebbs and flows.

Yet the love itself remains. The love is more than the emotional feeling you sometimes get when you're in love. The love is what you do, how you act when the person isn't around, how you act when you're not quite feeling the love in the moment.

Valentine's Day, while being just a day, any other day like all the others, is a chance to inject some emotional swells. It's a boost to the relationship. A showering of gifts, of sappy love notes, of flowers and chocolates and fancy dinners. A tangible corollary to the emotional and spiritual side of love to emphasize and represent what you feel for that person in your life.

For that reason, I fully support going all-in on Valentine's Day.

Oh, btw: there's supposedly some big game today, too. We just launched a no-dairy queso dip at Primal Kitchen, and early tasters are raving about it. While it's a little too late to order and have it arrive in time for today's festivities the discount code GAMEDAY20 will still give you 20% off your order.

Anyway, let me know what you plan on doing for Valentine's day tomorrow in the comment section of New and Noteworthy

Take care, everyone.
