Sometimes the wealth of the world astounds me. I think back to what I had to do to get to where I am today. In order to learn all the health knowledge I have now, I had to suffer. My body had to break down. I had to get sick, and even my relationship with my family suffered. I had to put in literally thousands of miles running, cycling, and swimming to discover what feels extremely intuitive and second nature today. So what this means is that you reading this, especially if you’re younger, but even if you’re not, have everything you need to make something of yourself and improve your health. Thousands of years of not just recorded history, knowledge, and wisdom, but also 20 years of people on the internet like me engaging in and documenting their grueling n=1 experimentations. You have all of that at your fingertips. You can draw on timeless wisdom from ancient thinkers, gritty personal scientific data, great literature, and millions of PubMed studies. Hell, they are even figuring out how to restore classical works that were incinerated in the eruption of Vesuvius. There’s almost no limit to what you can be, do, and become. You truly have no excuse. So get out there today and resolve to make something better. Adopt a new lifestyle habit that you’ve been mulling over, that you know would improve your life. Call your boss for a promotion. Start that LLC. Or maybe just pick up that book you bought five months ago but have yet to open. |
