Good afternoon,

New court documents claim embattled company Super Retail's whistleblower system was "significantly compromised" by chairman Sally Pitkin and another board member to suppress internal complaints of an illicit affair, to the extent emails and board minutes were deleted.

Meanwhile, shareholders of mining major Rio Tinto are expected to support the near-$10bn takeover of Arcadium Lithium as they bet on a buy, not build, approach.

And Coles boss Leah Weckert has defended the supermarket chain's now-controversial 'Down Down' discounts promotion while preparing for a Christmas trade led by more Aussies opting to cook and entertain at home to save money.
