Superfast Broadband Voucher Scheme Extended

A national voucher scheme helping people access superfast broadband is being extended by three months.

Homes and businesses in Scotland that are unable to access fast internet speeds now have until 31st March 2022 to apply for funding worth up to £400 under the Reaching 100%  Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme. An additional £250 is available for those in the hardest-to-reach areas.

The vouchers can be used to boost broadband speeds by accessing technologies such as those using satellites, mobile and wireless solutions.

Apply Now for the Business Ventilation Fund of up to £2,500

Businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors are being urged to take advantage of the Scottish Government’s Business Ventilation Fund which is aimed at helping businesses improve ventilation and air quality on their premises to help reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.

The fund will allow businesses to claim back costs to improve ventilation of up to £2,500.

Get an Interest Free Loan with the Low Carbon Transport Business Loan

The Low Carbon Transport Business Loan offers Scottish businesses up to £120,000 interest-free to help reduce the carbon impact and fuel costs of their transport arrangements through the purchase of new and more efficient vehicles.

The loan is funded by Transport Scotland and has a repayment term of up to six years.

Screen Scotland Production Growth Fund

The Production Growth Fund provides support for live-action and animated features and live-action and animated high-end television drama series that create employment in Scotland and use production facility companies in Scotland.

Awards are likely to range from £200,000 up to a maximum of £500,000 and will be in the form of a non-repayable grant.

Award-Winning Local Farmer Opens New Butcher Shop In Kirkcaldy

Puddledub has relocated to bigger premises on Kirkcaldy’s High Street, following the success of its pop-up butchers in the town.

Round two of this fund is now open for applications for community groups and organisations to access funding to reconnect communities and support adults' mental health and wellbeing.

Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) is managing this Fund in partnership with Fife Council and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership and is responsible for distributing just over £1 million across Fife.
