Minneapolis officer found guilty of assaulting unconscious woman
A jury of eight women and four men say Minneapolis police officer Thomas Tichich, 49, is guilty of third degree criminal sexual conduct. Tichich also was convicted of attempted sexual assault. Superior refinery explosions: 11 hurt, miles evacuated
An explosion rocked a refinery in northwestern Wisconsin on Thursday, injuring at least 11 people, forcing the evacuation of homes, schools and a hospital, and sending a plume of noxious smoke into the air. 
Documents: St. Paul light rail operator caused fatal crash, exposed possible 'loophole' in law
A light rail train operator went through a stop signal and struck a car, killing the 29-year-old driver and injuring his passenger at a University Avenue intersection in St. Paul in July, according to records just released by Metro Transit.
Autism at elevated rates in Twin Cities kids
A University of Minnesota study found 8-year-old children in Hennepin and Ramsey counties had been diagnosed with autism at a rate of 2.4 percent in 2014. That's higher than the national average of 1.7 percent according to similar new research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
