Good afternoon! It's Friday, July 1, and today's headlines include new research on the importance of self-care for pastors, Patricia Heaton's remarks to Senator Elizabeth Warren in response to Warren's statement condemning pregnancy centers, and Rep. Adam Kinzinger's remarks about Rep. Lauren Boebert following statements she made at a Colorado church.

A report from Barna shows that pastors who prioritize self-care are less likely to struggle with stress, loneliness, political divisions, and concerns about church health, each of which are factors that have led many pastors to consider leaving their ministries. The survey, which utilized data collected in October 2021 and March 2022, found that just 45% of pastors say they prioritize self-care, with nearly two-thirds of pastors who say they have not considered quitting ministry indicating they prioritize such care. Of those who indicated they feel like quitting, nearly half described often feeling depressed compared to just 21% of those who have not considered quitting. Those who feel like quitting are also more likely to feel that their own spiritual
formation has suffered due to their church responsibilities. More than half (56%) of those who have considered quitting full-time ministry in the last year said "the immense stress of the job" was a significant factor behind their thinking. Read more.

Hollywood actress and staunch pro-life advocate Patricia Heaton called out U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren after Heaton's crisis pregnancy center had to hire armed security amid the ongoing attacks targeting similar facilities nationwide. Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Warren tweeted, "With Roe gone, it's more important than ever to crack down on so-called 'crisis pregnancy centers' that mislead and deceive patients seeking abortion care. My bill with @SenatorMenendez would
stop these harmful practices." Heaton condemned Warren's statement in a response tweet to her followers: "Our medical pregnancy clinic serves client families for five years, providing superior services for anyone who asks. We raised $250K for a mobile medical clinic for underserved areas, treating everyone. Because of people like @SenWarren we now have to hire armed security." As of Friday morning, Heaton's tweet had garnered more than 20,000 likes and
nearly 6,300 retweets. Read more.

Christian Post Executive Editor Richard D. Land discusses three of the Supreme Court's most significant decisions in 2022 and why he believes they signal a return to Constitutional Order. From correcting the Court's usurpation of state power through the overturning of Roe v. Wade to determining Washington State football coach Joe Kennedy's constitutional "free exercise" rights were violated in the matter of Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, Land argues the rulings demonstrate the so-called "Lemon test" was "by definition, inherently hostile and unfair to religion." Read more.

Worship artist Sean Feucht is gearing up for the release of "Superspreader," a documentary that shows the singer's crusade across America during COVID-19 lockdowns. The film, which is set for a theatrical debut on August 19, highlights the rise of Feucht's "Let Us Worship" movement, which was birthed in response to restrictions on in-person worship through policies aimed at mitigating the spread of the coronavirus. In a statement shared with The Christian Post, the worship artist explained, "The pandemic revealed the chains of depression, fear and control that were seizing our nation," telling CP, "The freedom to worship was under assault by the big and powerful. It spawned a movement of thousands to fight for our God-given religious liberty." Watch the official trailer here.
