Why do you give to CAM?

Why do you give to CAM? We’ve asked this question to our volunteers, donors, members, and visitors this fall and have received many answers. Some give because they believe in the importance of art and culture for our community, others give because of CAM’s outreach to underserved populations and its work with local schools, others give to support world class exhibitions and public programs, and some give because of the Connections program for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We have learned that giving to CAM is personal, and that those who give of their time, talent, and resources to the museum feel that our region is a better place because of Cameron Art Museum.

Today, we invite you to show your support of your museum by giving to our Year-End Giving Campaign for general operations. Your gift to CAM’s Year-End Giving Campaign has never been more important. During its six month closure due to the pandemic, CAM operated at a loss of at least $50,000 a month, totaling at least $300,000 in lost income. Your gift today will boost the museum’s income during the COVID-19 crisis, ensuring the museum’s future tomorrow.

Giving is easy; you can give to the museum via our website or send a check directly to the museum. We thank you for supporting our mission to be a cultural gathering place that enriches the lives of museum visitors and the community through high-quality exhibitions, lifelong learning in the arts, dynamic public programs, and stewardship and interpretation of the collection.
