Like you, we believe that farmers markets should be welcoming and nourishing spaces for everyone. This National Farmers Market Week (August 7-13), stand by your values and join us in creating a world where every kid has access to fresh, healthy food and joyful learning experiences at the farmers market. This August, we're kicking off our Back to School, Back to the Farmers Market campaign, with the goal of raising $25,000 for our free education programs. Help us welcome students back to the farmers market this fall! Foodwise farmers markets and education programs are a critical source of learning, wellness, and connection for Bay Area youth, serving more than 3,000 San Francisco Unified School District students and their families every year. Through our Foodwise Kids and Foodwise Teens programs, students learn to grow and cook their own food, develop valuable life and job skills, and build community together. Over the last year, we welcomed thousands of students back to in-person learning through farmers market field trips and hands-on cooking lessons in the classroom. But we canβt do it alone! We need local food champions like you to help us provide these vital experiences for young eaters. Take action this National Farmers Market Week to support farmers markets and youth in your community for a sustainable and equitable food future. Let's start strong and raise $10,000 during this important first week. Help us reach our Back to School, Back to the Farmers Market goal of $25,000 by August 31 with a donation today! | |
