Dear Friend,
2021 started with a deadly attack on the United States Capitol and is ending with the emergence of a new coronavirus variant. In between, we saw moments of hope—the development of effective vaccines against COVID-19, a gradual re-opening of the economy, and a return to a more stable international order. But we also saw persistent and growing challenges in the climate crisis, continued racial injustice, and increasing partisanship and political paralysis.
Throughout a tumultuous year, Brookings helped policymakers and the public make sense of what was happening and how to respond. Our 2021 Annual Report provides highlights of our recent work. These efforts are only possible with the support of generous donors. I ask you to join us today with a gift to Brookings.
