Discussing sensitive issues

Themes like diversity, racism, democracy, and polarisation have frequently made the headlines this year. These themes touch the lives of young people and trickle through to the classrooms. To help teachers find ways to discuss these sensitive topics, the Anne Frank House has developed the free online toolbox Stories that Move, in which young people from across Europe talk about their experiences. In doing so, they encourage their peers to think critically about stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination and challenge them to reflect on their opinions and the choices they make.

Help us reach 20,000 teachers

Stories that Move has been awarded € 500,000 by the European Erasmus+ programme. We want to use this budget to reach 20,000 teachers and one million students over the next three years. However, COVID has drastically reduced the number of visitors to the Anne Frank House, so we no longer have the budget of € 150,000 required for co-financing the project. Can you help us increase the impact and visibility of Stories that Move? Any amount will help us on our way!
