While it has not been a year to celebrate by any stretch of the imagination, we can definitely be thankful that we live in such a beautiful and friendly part of the world. We have the rolling hills of the Ribble Valley and the stunning Forest of Bowland, the magnificent coastline from Lytham to Silverdale in the North, plus the two cities of Preston and Lancaster. We've got some of the best food producers in the country and award-winning ones at that! But the thing which makes Lancashire the best place to live is the people. And while this year has been a tough one for us all, we've got this far together. We've been trying to give you the best possible coverage of what the pandemic has meant to the county - from the human stories behind the statistics to the amazing feats of key workers and the ordinary folk who have done extraordinary things. And our promise to you is that we will continue to do that in the future. We love Lancashire and want to make sure we support its businesses, organisations and people. In return we would love you to support us. You will be aware that the leponline has recently moved to a subscription model because, like other companies, we need to find new, sustainable business models in order to survive. Many of you have already supported us and I thank you for that. And as today is Black Friday as well as Lancashire Day, we have a special Black Friday offer for those of you who would like to give us a try for a few months. You can subscribe using the link here: https://www.lep.co.uk/subscriptions Thank you and have a lovely weekend. Gillian Here are some of today's top stories ... | |
